Upcoming changes to DBS pricing

With the New Year swiftly approaching, there’s no doubt that you’ll be starting to think about your recruitment plans for the year ahead.

With that said, we wanted to give you a heads up that the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) are going to be increasing their DBS Check fees from 2 December 2024.

The new fees for DBS Checks are:

  • Enhanced DBS Check: £49.50*
  • Standard DBS Check: £21.50*
  • Basic DBS Check: £21.50*

*These are only the DBS fees and not the final price offered by uCheck.

Unfortunately, you’ll be paying more for DBS Checks, regardless of who you conduct them through. Whilst we don’t have control over these fee increases, and we understand that this will be frustrating for many, we do know that these price increases will help the DBS to:

  • Manage growing demand for DBS Checks
  • Upgrade their infrastructure to meet the needs of today’s digital landscape
  • Maintain high standards that people have come to expect of them

The DBS hope that these increased fees will play an essential role in ensuring that they keep delivering the best service possible.

Any applications submitted after 6pm on Friday 29th November will be charged at the new rate. If you have any questions, please contact us through the Live Chat function on our website.
