George Griffiths
Managing Director
George has been brought up to know the values of uCheck ever since his first involvement in our family-run business at the age of seven. In 2013, George came on board full time with the goal of working together to create a fluid and successful business development structure. Since then, the company has grown faster than any other business in the vetting and screening sector, within which over 3,000 companies trade! In 2018, George was appointed Managing Director. His focus for the future is to drive the development of our groundbreaking HR Platform and continue to align his way of working with our mission statement – to always care about getting it right.

Julie Griffiths
Director of Business Excellence
Julie’s background as a hospital RGN has helped her greatly in her role as uCheck’s Director of Business Excellence. Not only has it given her an understanding of the care sector, where screening plays such an important role, but it has given her the desire to always care about getting it right.

Julie used to be an illusionist’s assistant!
Mike Griffiths
As Chairman, Mike prides himself on the feedback we receive from our clients. He believes that the organisations who commit to using our services put a huge amount of trust in us. His ethos is that as long as he is leading the way, we will always continue to do everything we can to not disappoint them.

Paul Jennings
Office & HR Manager
Paul has worked with a variety of different sized teams over the years in various roles across multiple industries, specialising in customer service, process and people management. He is dedicated to the development of a rewarding, collaborative and enjoyable work environment for all. In his dual role Paul’s focus is the development of a culture which is already strong within the business, promoting the development and support of every member of the team during their journey with us whilst also ensuring the work environment is safe, fully functional, comfortable and welcoming for all team members and visitors to our business.

Paul once climbed 13 miles on indoor climbing walls across the UK over the course of a week in aid of Cancer Research.
Leanneda Clark
Client Service Manager
Leanneda joined the company in 2012 as an Administrator in the Operations Department and has progressed to now successfully inspiring and managing our Client Support Team.Leanneda is passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience and leading the way on delivering on our mission ‘To always care about getting it right’.

Leanneda once won £50 in a talent contest by performing “YMCA”!
Caroline Bailey
Group Financial Controller
Caroline joined the team in March 2016, having previously spent 11 years working in Management Accounts for a large multinational company. Having worked in various accountancy roles including industry, practice and audit over the years, she has an in-depth understanding of the financial needs of the business. Caroline thoroughly enjoys the challenge of no two days being the same within a fast paced, growing business such as uCheck, and believes that building good relationships with customers and suppliers, and the provision of reliable, timely and accurate information is the key to the continuing success of the business.

Caroline once played a charity darts match against two time World Professional Darts Champion, Ted Hankey.
Paul Carthy
IT Development Manager
As Senior Software Developer, Paul has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry and 3 years’ experience developing in the vetting and screening sector. He has been our lead developer since coming on board in 2012 and always looks for new ways to improve the customer experience that we offer.

Paul is one of 10 people in Devon to be a black belt in Brazilian Juijitsu!
Jack Lander
Business Development Manager
Jack joined uCheck in February 2016 as a Business Development Executive, and has successfully progressed to become our Business Development Manager. We are proud to have Jack in this role and he brings with him over 8 years of solid Business Development and Account Management experience from a variety of industries spanning automotive to recruitment. Jack is extremely hands on with the onboarding of API clients, this is clearly his specialism.

Jack is obsessed with Harry Potter, so much so, he named his new-born after the main character!
Amy Squires
Compliance Manager and Data Protection Officer
Amy joined the team in April 2019 as our Compliance Manager and Data Protection Officer. Amy has a history in compliance-based roles across various industries, primarily implementing compliance and quality systems that support company strategy. As the newest member of our Management Team, Amy is excited to focus on our continual improvement and to work within an organisation where her role is integral in supporting the mission statement – to always care about getting it right.

Amy won an international award for her Harley Davidson themed birthday cake and dreams about taking part in the Great British Bake off.
